2. Requesting Data Deletion
GrabCash is operated by InspireLabs. If you have created an account with us, you can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, using either of the options below.
- Open the GrabCash app.
- Tap the profile icon at the top right to go to the Edit Profile page.
- Tap the hamburger icon to open the Settings and Activity page.
- Tap "Delete my GrabCash account" (not "Deactivate my GrabCash account").
- Confirm the request.
Please note: choosing Delete permanently deletes your data, whereas Deactivate only temporarily deactivates your account and does not delete your data.
Deleting your account permanently removes the personal data associated with it, including: your name, email address, phone number, account and user identifiers and login tokens, your profile photo, device identifiers and push-notification token, your generated referral/affiliate links, and your in-app activity linked to your account.
- If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access it, email us at [email protected] with the subject line "GrabCash - Data Deletion Request."
- Please include the mobile number and/or email address registered with your account so we can locate and verify it.
- For your protection, we may verify that you own the account before processing the request.
What is deleted and what is retained
Upon a verified request, we delete the personal data listed above from our active systems within 30 days, and from routine backups shortly thereafter.
Because GrabCash facilitates earnings and payouts, certain financial and KYC records - including your PAN details, date of birth, bank account/UPI details, and wallet, earnings, and transaction history - are retained after account deletion where we are legally required to keep them under applicable tax, financial, and anti-money-laundering laws. These records are retained for a maximum of one year and are then deleted. During this period they are used only for legal compliance and fraud prevention.
